Rath Propane Gas Company Incorporated, doing business as Cuero-Yoakum Propane Gas Company and The Cooking Depot is locally owned and operated by Erwin and Annette Rath. |
The couple purchased the company in March of 1986. Annette had began in February of 1979 as office manager for the original owner. Erwin joined the staff full-time in September 1992. |
Annette's father, Harvey Schumacher, has been with the company since July of 1979. In addition to helping serve the Yoakum area with propane, he also helps Erwin with the service and warranty work required by our customers. Doug Klaus who has been with the company since March of 2002 is the deliveryman for the Cuero and Yoakum area. |
Cuero Propane Gas Company, of 202 S. Esplanade in Cuero, serves as headquarters for Rath Propane Gas Company, Inc. All calls and services are dispatched from this office. Alexander Oil Company occupies the building on the Yoakum Propane Gas Company property off of the Yoakum/Cuero highway and remains available for Yoakum area customers to make payments. Storage tanks are stationed at this location for the Yoakum Propane truck., while another site off the Cuero/Victoria highway supplies the Cuero Propane delivery truck. |
| We are able to service all your propane needs at Cuero-Yoakum Propane Gas Company, from bottle filling to bulk gas delivery. For bulk gas deliveries 250-500 gallon propane tanks are always in stock for sale or lease. Small portable cylinders and propane-fueled motor vehicles may be brought to our Cuero location to be filled or serviced. |

The Cooking Depot is a retail outlet of kitchen and outdoor cooking equipment. We strive to provide name brand and exclusive items designed to provide lasting enjoyment for any outdoor and domestic chef. |

We carry top-of-the-line cookware, cutlery, cast iron, service ware, pottery, countertop appliances and cooking utensils. |
To reach our goal of providing our customers with the best selection possible we make a consistent effort to keep up with an ever-changing market. We have a changing array of various accessories with new items being add to our inventory regularly. For this reason our products and customer base has seen a lot of expansion over the years. Bridal registries and gift wrapping are now available. |
Office hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. during most months, and also from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturdays. We continue to serve our customers at our best and look forward to serving you in the future. |
